One of my favorite inspirational Bible verses was taught to me by my uncle. He was a pastor of a little church on the wrong side of the railroad tracks yet this man was an inspiration to my life. He used to quote the words of Jesus all the time and say “Have faith in God. I tell you the truth, you can say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen. But you must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart.” Later I found out that He was quoting the words of Jesus found in Mark’s gospel chapter 11 and verses 22 and 23.
These inspirational words have seen me through many tough times. They were the words I stood on when after going through the tragedy of divorce, I continued to believe that God would once again use me as a pastor. After receiving over 180 rejection letters, God was true to His word and opened that door and now I am back in full time ministry.
